Realising the long-cherished dream of the high-range district of Pathanamthitta, the Govt. Arts & Science College, Elanthoor started functioning on 16 July 2014 with 3 degree courses in Commerce (BCom), Malayalam (BA) and Zoology (BSc). A demand long overdue, the college is the only one of its kind in the district. Since inception, the college, affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University has been functioning in the temporary space of the building allotted to it by the District Panchayat on the VHSS campus. Moves are a foot to shift the college to a permanent campus in Elanthoor with the state-of-the-art infrastructure.
