BA English Language And Literature

The proposed programme, Bachelor of Arts in English Language & Literature, is conceived to be one of duly approved by the competent academic bodies of the university. The students are expected to enjoy the flexibility of choice from an impressive basket of electives. The choice-based credit system deployed in the delivery of the programmes ensures the relevance of the pedagogy with the practices across the country. The programme is organised on a semester basis and the programme has 6 semesters spread over 3 years.It was converted to 4-year programme.

MA English Language & Literature

The MA English programme proposed here has been approved by the statutory bodies of the University. Further, the University will revise the curriculum and syllabi of its MA English programme once every three years to ensure that the content is updated to reflect current academic knowledge and practice, and also to ensure that the University provide the best learning experiences possible for students. The student has to complete 12 Discipline Core (DC) courses over four semesters within two years of study. In addition, the student will complete three Discipline Specific Elective (DE) courses and two Ability Enhancement Compulsory Courses (AE) which are Discipline Specific (DS) and Institution Specific (IS). In addition, two courses are there for Skill Enhancement Compulsory Courses (SE)/Internship(IN) and a course of Dissertation/Project Work(DP). The students are allowed to pursue two courses of study in any two disciplines as Cross Border Discipline Courses (CB), if they desire so, in addition to the lawful and required credits.

BA (HONOURS) English Language And Literature

The Four-Year BA English programme offers a comprehensive curriculum that merges literary studies with practical and interdisciplinary knowledge. Interdisciplinary courses such as Historical Tourism, Machine Learning, and Digital Marketing broaden the perspectives of learners. Practical skills are honed through Legal and Financial Literacy, Data Analytics, Python for All, and Information Security. The curriculum emphasises ethical and social awareness with courses on Social Ethics, Mahatma Gandhi, and Technology and Society. Advanced training in News Reporting, Editing, and English for Professional Communication prepares learners for diverse career paths. Foundational skills in research, writing, and competitive exams, along with Value Added Courses on Indian Knowledge System and Environmental Studies, ensure graduates are well-rounded, versatile, and ready for both academic and professional success.
