Hosted by Sreenarayanaguru Open University, the Congress brings together teachers, researchers and scholars to examine Kerala's past through rational, secular and critically informed historical inquiry. Kollam, a historic Indian Ocean trading port, provides an inspiring setting.

Abstracts must be emailed by 30 November 2026. Full papers are submitted through the Proceedings of the Kerala History Congress OJS platform, with a manuscript copy also emailed by the deadline.

Manuscript guidelines
Publication of Proceedings
Papers should be 5,000–10,000 words, use Chicago-style footnote references, and be prepared in MS Word, Times New Roman 12 pt, double-spaced.
Well-presented papers may be published in the Proceedings volume. OJS submission is required; the submission window remains open as notified.

The session takes place at the Sree Narayana Guru Cultural Complex in Asramam, Kollam, near the shores of Ashtamudi Lake.

Delegate accommodation is planned in hotels and dormitories from the evening of 10 December to the morning of 13 December 2026.
Transport between accommodation and the venue will be provided in the mornings and evenings during the programme.
